Makeup Artist: Mili Fox Makeup Arist
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking
.
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and Mili Fox Makeup Artist for the agreed fee.
The Fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed in the contract.
The Event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (e.g., the wedding) takes place.
The Party: Additional members of the bridal party.
1. Definitions
“Client” refers to the individual named above receiving the service.
“Makeup Artist” refers to Mili Fox, trading as Mili Fox Makeup Artist.
“Agreement” refers to this binding contract between the Client and the Makeup Artist.
“Fee” is the total amount payable for the services provided.
“Event” refers to the wedding or special occasion on the above-stated date.
“Party” includes additional members of the bridal group (e.g., bridesmaids, mother of the bride).
2. Securing the Booking
The Event date is only reserved once a non-refundable booking fee has been received by the Make-up Artist.
Trials do not reserve the Event date. A booking fee is required to secure services for the Event.
Trial sessions are paid in full on the day via cash or bank transfer.
Trial cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the agreed trial rate.
3. Trials
Trials may be scheduled between four months and four weeks prior to the Event date.
Multiple trials are permitted at the full trial fee for each session.
Trials are held at the Make-up Artist’s studio. In special circumstances, travel can be arranged for an additional travel fee.
4. Payments
Accepted Payment Methods: Cash or bank transfer only.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final balance.
The non-refundable booking fee covers administrative costs, including scheduling, communication, and date reservation.
Final payment is due one calendar month prior to the Event. Late payments may result in cancellation or late fees.
5. Pricing
The agreed pricing at the time of booking is fixed and will not be affected by future changes in service rates.
Additional travel, parking, toll, or congestion charges will be added to the final invoice.
Additions to the Party can be requested but must be agreed in advance; availability is not guaranteed.
If Party size decreases:
– More than 6 months’ notice: balance may be adjusted
– Less than 6 months’ notice: full original quote remains payable.
6. Minimum Booking
During peak wedding season a minimum booking fee of £500 (exclusive of travel costs) applies (Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays only). This fee covers makeup services for the bride plus up to four additional individuals.
Any further individuals wishing to receive makeup services beyond the bride and four includes persons will be charged at the standard additional rate per person.
Where only the bride requires makeup services, the minimum booking fee of £500 (exclusive of travel costs) will still apply during peak wedding season.
7. Travel, Accommodation, and Destination Events
Travel over one hour incurs a travel fee (quote provided).
Weddings more than two hours from the Make-up Artist’s base may require overnight accommodation, to be arranged and paid for by the Client.
For destination weddings, the Client must cover: return flights and baggage; transfers (UK and abroad); and hotel accommodation with breakfast.
8. Client Responsibilities
The Client must disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may affect the use of make-up products.
The Make-up Artist is not liable for any adverse reactions if informed incorrectly or not at all.
The Make-up Artist reserves the right to refuse service for abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour from the Client or any Party member.
9. Cancellations
Client Cancellations (in writing): Booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Cancellation Fee Schedule:
– More than 8 months: No additional charge (booking fee retained)
– 6–8 months: 50% of the remaining balance
– 4–6 months: 75% of the remaining balance
– Less than 4 months: 100% of the remaining balance
Trial Cancellations: Less than 48 hours’ notice = full trial fee payable.
Make-up Artist Cancellations: If unable to attend due to illness or force majeure, a full refund will be issued. No further compensation is offered.
10. Force Majeure
The Make-up Artist is not responsible for events beyond reasonable control, including illness, accidents, extreme weather, acts of God, pandemics, or government restrictions.
Clients are strongly encouraged to obtain wedding insurance.
11. Exclusivity
Exclusivity for the whole day is not guaranteed unless agreed in advance.
Any second bookings undertaken will not affect the agreed service and timing for the Client.
An exclusivity fee can be arranged upon request.
12. Photography & Media Usage
The Client grants permission for the Make-up Artist to use photographs or video for promotional purposes, including social media and website use.
If any member of the Party does not wish to be featured, the Client must inform the Make-up Artist in writing before the Event date.
13. Timeliness & Delays
The Client is responsible for ensuring all Party members are available and punctual.
Delays caused by the Client or Party may result in incomplete services, for which no refund shall be issued.
14. Liability
All products used are of professional standard and selected with care. However, it is the client’s responsibility to inform the makeup artist of any known allergies or skin sensitivities prior to application.
The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions, skin complications, emotional distress, or damages (direct or indirect) arising from the services provided.
Clients accept full responsibility for any risks associated with makeup application.
15. Late Arrivials & No Shows
Punctuality is essential to ensure all services are completed on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced service time, with the full fee still applicable.
Failure to attend a booked appointment without prior notice will be treated as a no-show, and the full fee will remain payable.
16. Substitution of MakeupArtist
In the unlikely event that the booked makeup artist is unwell or otherwise unable to attend, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a suitable replacement artist of equivalent standard. If this is. not possible, a full refund of any monies paid will be issued.
17. Touch-Up Services / Stay-On-Site Options
Touch-up services during the event, or the makeup artist remaining on-site for additional hours, can be arranged in advance for an additional fee. This must be agreed upon prior to the wedding/event day.
18. Service Environment
The client is responsible for ensuring the service location is safe, clean, and has adequate lighting and seating. The artist reserves the right to refuse serice if the working environment is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
19. Health, Safety & Hygiene
The makeup artist follows strict hygiene standards, including regular cleaning and sanisisation of tools and products.
Services may be refused if a client presents with contagious conditions (e.g., cold sores, eye infections, flu symptoms).
Clients are asked to arrive with clean, makeup-free skin.
20. Refunds & Satisfaction
All booking fees are non-refundable.
Payments made for services are non-refundable once the service has been provided.
Satisfaction with makeup is subjective; while every effort will be made to meet client expectations, refunds will not be issued on the basis of personal preference once the service has been completed.
21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom, including the courts of England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, as applicable.
