Securing the Service

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit to the makeup artist. The deposit is 30% of the final amount quoted – this is required to secure the event. The event will not be secured until the initial deposit is paid. Arranging a trial does not reserve the make up artist’s services for the event. Trials are paid for on the scheduled trial date in cash or by bank transfer. The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.

If you wish to have a trial, the makeup artist will arrange a date with you any time between four months – four weeks before your event date. If you wish to have multiple trials, you may do so at the cost of a trial each time.

As stated above arranging a trial without payment of the deposit does not reserve the makeup artists services for the event and payment for any trials are on the day you have them.

Trials can be held at either the makeup artists studio or the makeup artist can travel to the client for the travel fee quoted once location is known.

Payments are to be made by cash or bank transfer only.  The non-refundable deposit paid by the client is taken off the final balance.

The non-refundable booking fee covers my non-recoverable costs which includes but is not limited to:

  • Administrative work towards the wedding date including; time scheduling for the wedding day
  • Email/text correspondence
  • Phone conversations
  • Reservation of the date in my calendar

All services are final and confirmed once the deposit has been paid and the date has been added to my diary. If the agreed services are reduced, the total amount quoted will remain the same and no refund will be offered should the change occur less than four weeks before your wedding date.

The pricing quoted at the time of the booking will be honoured and any general price changes between the time of booking and your wedding date will not affect your agreed fee for the services booked. Any travel, parking, toll or congestion charges will be added to the final balance.

After confirmation of booking, should you wish to add more members of your bridal party to the booking, all you need to do is inform the makeup artist in advance so timings can be adjusted for the day. This should be done as soon as possible and there is no guarantee the additional member(s) will be added.

The additional cost will be recalculated, and a new quote provided before the wedding day.

If the size of the bridal party reduces on the day, the quote originally given will stand, however, if the makeup artist is informed in advance of 28 days or before, the final balance payment may be adjusted accordingly.

Weddings that require a one hour plus travel time, will incur a minimal charge, this includes ‘Bride Only’ bookings and does not include travel, trial and hotel costs.

Responsibility of the Client

The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition. The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the makeup artist in writing.
The makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation.
Wedding day bookings cancelled within six weeks of the date will incur the following cancellation fee:

  • Eight weeks notice: 50% of the outstanding balance of the agreed quote.
  • Six to eight weeks notice: 75% of the outstanding balance of the agreed quote.
  • Less than six weeks notice: 100% of the outstanding balance of the agreed quote.

The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate. Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given will result in a refund to the client. No further compensation will be offered.

If the client has already paid a deposit to reserve their wedding date but due to the government closing the agreed wedding venue due to unforeseen circumstances, then a deposit refund may be given dependent of the situation. The transfer of the deposit to a new date can be made depending on availability for the new date.

If the client decides to cancel but they are still legally allowed to get married, as there are no government restrictions in place, then the deposit will be non-refundable.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event; therefore, timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking. It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the makeup artist will not affect the first event. An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages.

Travel Expenses

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking. This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.

Travel and hotel costs for weddings more than two hours away from the makeup artist’s base are additional. This can be discussed and agreed with the client.

Destination Weddings

For destination weddings airport transfers both in the UK and abroad, flights and accommodation with breakfast should all be provided.
